Art is a funny thing. You see something and it either moves you or it doesn't. In my case, and for many other fortunate collectors, I saw a work by Sam and was instantly hooked. I ended up purchasing an original, entitled "Squamish Inlet". It moved me, and I was fortunate enough to snatch it up. It now hangs in my little music studio, reminding me of my own inner-artist; of the calm, peaceful nature that a talent like Sam brings to the modern world of art. Purchasing art from abroad, without physically being in the gallery was at first intimidating. But after walking me through the process, Sam and his team put me at ease. Upon receiving the work, I was once again assured that my purchase was a wise choice. The framing, the certificate of authentication, even the care with which the painting had been shipped, all attest to an artist whose business acumen is on par with his talent. I first saw Sam's work on a Facebook post that showed up on my feed. I ‘liked’ his page and have been following since. I love his style, color palette and his eye for turning nature into beautiful works of art. I just knew I was going to have his work in my home. 'Tree Island' came across my feed and I really loved the scene, but I lost track and didn't recall the name. Then sometime after 'Vapor' came across and it absolutely took my breath away. "This piece of artwork IS going to be in my home. No doubt!!", I said to myself. I started searching for extra large format art for my walls online. Lot of misses abs very generic, uninspired options out there. I’d initially been looking at photos printed on aluminum but the ones I liked didn’t vibe with my space. Amazingly, Sam’s Original Art came up on my second or third search, as I was shopping for local artists. I used to live really close by his shop in Vancouver I loved so many if his pieces I sent him a picture of my living space and told him the mood I was aiming for. Not long after I received a warm email back with art pieces Sam selected, placed in my photo. I’m very visual abs this was very helpful. Sam was very patient with me with all my questions and inquiries. I never felt once like I was a nuisance, in fact quite the opposite. I could feel his enthusiasm for his customer service and his love if his art. I ended up purchasing a 59 x 59 Giclée that is hung over my sofa. The whole ordering process was smooth and the shipping was fast and free. The piece was my Christmas present to myself. I commissioned a piece from Sam. I had a photo of a landscape I took in Palm Springs years ago. I gave it to Sam and asked if he would be able to recreate the image into the style in which he paints. He allowed me to review the commissioned piece when it was 90% finished. He was very open to my opinion and was very easy going when I explained where I felt the piece needed a little more emphasis (It was a part that gave me a large emotional connection to the photo in the first place) Sam understood what I was saying and went with it with total enthusiasm.
