Autumn Glow | Collector Series:

One of the ‘trademarks’ of many Sam Siegel paintings is his depiction of colorful, park-like settings (ie., ‘Stoked’, ‘Van Go’, and ‘Tree Tops’). ‘Autumn Glow’ is yet another in that same style. One of it’s interesting characteristics, though, is its duel design, which gives it a feeling of ‘two paintings in one’. On the left, he has depicted the trees in all their colorful glory, while on the right, he has chosen to use only muted colors of tans and olive greens, as if to suggest the marching of time, and the change of seasons.
