Squamish River | Collector Series:

‘Squamish River’ incorporates all the usual elements (earth, water, and sky) of a Sam Siegel painting, yet, in its design, it’s very different from most of his other work. In most of his other paintings, the sky is overpowering, and takes up much more real estate. Here, the sky is relegated to being a mirror image of the river, while the muted greens of the forest predominate. This design gives the painting a kind of ‘balanced authority’.
