MEET SAM

As a Canadian artist based in Vancouver BC, I am constantly inspired by the breathtaking landscapes of the Pacific Northwest. From the misty forests to the rugged coastlines, this region is a never-ending source of inspiration for my art. In my work, I use a variety of brushes and oil paints to create these landscapes by hand. In a world that often values speed, mass production, and next day delivery, I believe that there is something truly special about the creative process and the time it takes to create original works of art. I take great care and pride to ensure that each and every piece is crafted with the utmost attention to detail. Whether I am painting the intimidating snow-capped peaks of the mountains or the tranquil waters of a quiet lake, I am always filled with a sense of wonder and awe at the natural environment all around us. I hope that my artwork takes you on a journey to a nostalgic, whimsical world of the imagination, and serves as a reminder of the enduring beauty of our landscape.

I’m really just an explorer by profession. My paintings are a natural extension of my interest in hiking and camping. I’ve always loved being outdoors, and exploring wilderness environments. For me, painting is just another way I can explore the world. Many of my paintings are inspired by well-known local landmarks, such as Stanley Park, Spanish Banks, Howe Sound, Squamish Chief, Sea-to-Sky Highway, and other imaginative worlds I have yet to explore...

Limited Release - We’re focused on delivering the highest quality Ready-To-Hang artwork. We make each canvas print to order and we only release a very limited number of editions for each painting. Click a painting to see the number of editions offered. Once sold out they will no longer be available to purchase.

Museum Quality - As a smaller, more specialized retailer, we are able to focus on the quality and craftsmanship of our products, rather than just trying to meet the demands of a mass market. This allows us to take the time to carefully select materials and pay attention to the details that will ensure the longevity of our artwork.

About Our Team

We are a small, family-run gallery catering to clients who care about the quality. We know the character of our work sets us apart. We sell Sam's original contemporary landscape paintings and Giclée canvas prints of his work. Our Giclée prints are produced in a very limited number of editions to ensure perfection. Our customers notice and appreciate the craftsmanship and outstanding attention to detail at every stage of production.

Our website shows your desired painting in a few different rooms and furniture settings. We hope this helps you make the perfect selection. We can also make custom size Giclée prints by request. Our Giclée prints look 3D to the eye and are virtually indistinguishable from the original. Come see the quality for yourself at 1736 West 2nd Ave Vancouver, BC Canada.

Get Beautiful Giclee Canvas Prints

Many of the giclĂ©e prints on the market today cut costs by printing on nylon canvases with medium-quality dye based inks. Resulting in a poor quality print that can fade, warp, and hang crooked over time. To ensure you get the best, we only use genuine, archival quality pigments, and museum-quality cotton canvases. Each of our paintings are tightly stretched by hand, and wrap mounted on 1.5″ solid pinewood frames with a black elegant edge all around. This allows for a frameless presentation of the finished piece.

Whether you're a seasoned art collector or just starting to build your collection, our museum quality canvas prints are a wise investment. Add one to your collection today and take your appreciation of art to new heights!

We're Different

We work as a family to hand produce, prepare and package each painting from one artist, Sam Siegel from Vancouver, BC Canada. Our giclée canvas prints are produced using state of the art equipment, to provide accurate color representation and astonishingly fine detail. All canvases come pre-installed with premium hardware to achieve a flush-to-wall appearance. Your painting will arrive ready to hang and with the bottom corners lined with felt to ensure a clean, scratch-proof installation. Each order is shipped ready to unbox and hang on your wall. Every piece is carefully packed and inspected before they are shipped to guarantee their integrity. We proudly stand behind our product and are here to handle any issues that may arise.

GiclĂ©e (“G-clay“) is an advanced printmaking process for creating high-quality fine art reproductions. GiclĂ©e reproductions are virtually indistinguishable from the original. That’s why GiclĂ©e prints are widely accepted by museums, professional art galleries, and private collectors.

After they sell out we do not release any more. We only release a very limited number of editions for each painting, all numbered and signed. I try to release 1-2 new paintings each month. To be notified when new paintings become available, you can subscribe to our email newsletter!

Gallery Wrap is a method of stretching an artist’s canvas so that the canvas wraps around the sides and is secured to the hidden wooden frame. This method of stretching and preparing a canvas allows for a frameless presentation of the finished painting.

Yes, we are happy to do commission works as well. Due to the amount of specificity involved in creating commissioned art, we can only do so on a limited basis. Please, email Sam@SamsOriginalArt.com or our contact form to inquire about original artworks by Sam Siegel.

"I'm trying to recreate the same magical feeling that I experience when I’m at the top of some mountain cliff. I’m always finding new techniques and nuances that I hope will help me achieve that feeling. And if my paintings can be an opportunity for other people to feel that same kind of thing, that’s why I do it.”Â
